Every off-grid job follows this order: panel, controller, battery, inverter, loads. A fuse sits on every positive line.
Series adds voltage and keeps current. Parallel adds current and keeps voltage. Two 12 V / 5 A panels give 24 V / 5 A or 12 V / 10 A.
Keep drop under 3%. Longer runs or higher current need thicker copper. Values are typical two-way copper runs at 20 A.
Sun charges from about 08:00 to 16:00. Evening loads pull it down. Never let a lead-acid battery fall below 50%.
Voltage is measured across a component. Current is measured in the line. Continuity is only tested with the power off.
